The “Reclassification and Effective Management of the National Protected Areas System Project” was launched in October 2006 and is executed by the Ministry of Tourism, Environment and Natural Resources through the Department of Environment and Natural Resource Management and the Zambia Wildlife Authority (ZAWA).
